Miradas Diversas - Festival Internacional de Cine de Derechos Humanos
Since its first edition, the Festival Miradas Diversas has marked a different philosophy and design. On the one hand, it gathers the experience of 25 years of the Gran Cine Circuit in terms of organization and execution of Shows and Festivals, at the same time, to carry out Various Looks, Gran Cine joins forces with Human Rights organizations and expands the festival's radius of action, beyond movie theaters and an epicenter in Caracas, to expand and make it accessible to a wider audience in the country.
It is especially presented as an option to carry out activities that support the work carried out by the country: organizations and human rights activists. Putting into practice Gran Cine's vision of “cinema as a tool for citizen training and a catalyst for change”.
Diverse Looks is therefore a space that is multiplied by establishing a network with organizations in at least 12 cities. There, around 40 organizations will be holding film forums during the days of the Festival, where different rights will be debated since Miradas Diversas, as its name indicates, opens spaces for the dissemination and promotion of human rights with different approaches and cultural diversity.
