Refugee Film Festival is calling for entries

Since 2006, the UNHCR Refugee Film Festival (RFF) organized by UNHCR Representation in Japan has been receiving support and understanding concerning its impact to the Japanese society in its aim to increase awareness regarding the refugee issues around the world.  Last year, the 7th UNHCR Refugee Film Festival showed 15 films with 22 guest speakers through 28 screenings in Tokyo, with a successful attendance of 4000 people during the 9 days of festival.This year, following its prior years’ successes, UNHCR plans to implement the 8th edition of the film festival in. The program will comprise films and other visual materials calling people’s attention to the topical issues of refugees, IDPs, asylum seekers, statelessness, mixed migration and other related geopolitical and humanitarian subjects surrounding those vulnerable people.The deadline for sending in your film is May 30th. There is no competition and it is a free event.
