Organising a human rights film festival in the Middle East or Northern Africa: Learn how to do it!
Are you interested in screening films on human rights in your country in the Middle East or Northern Africa? Want to learn how to develop your human rights film festival and gain inspiration for selecting films and organising debates?HRFN members Movies that Matter and Karama Human Rights Film Festival organise a four-day workshop programme on how to develop a Human Rights Film Festival. This programme named Cinema without Borders is offered to film professionals from the Middle East and Northern Africa region.
About 10-12 persons from the Middle East and Northern African region (MENA region) can participate in this programme. Participants will gain practical knowledge, gain fresh ideas and strengthen their network. Through the workshop, participants will be inspired and assisted to overcome challenges during the organisation of their own festival. Cinema without Borders takes place during the Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Amman, Jordan, from 6-10 December 2014.Please submit your application for the workshop as soon as possible.
