Document Human Rights Film Festival

Document International Human Rights Film Festival originally founded in 2003 is back after a few year hiatus – last edition 2021. 

Our new shape is to have monthly screenings stretched all across the City of Glasgow Scotland and beyond to reach a wider audience - also a full weekend Festival in October 2026 is planned.

In the current political climate we strongly believe access to Human Rights documentaries is essential for all. Many of the big screening venues in the city have closed down. We understand that our former base at The CCA is to close also. As long-standing cinema spaces vanish, Document has addressed this by sourcing alternative venues across the city for our monthly screenings and also for the Festival in October 2026.
