BIFF is a leading film festival in Norway, with admissions around 60.000 annually and around 120 feature length films, half being documentaries, making us one of the biggest documentary festivals in the Nordic Region. The human rights festival Checkpoints started in 2007 and is an integral part of BIFF. In collaboration with the Rafto Foundation for Human Rights, Checkpoints consists of 20 films, of which 8 are in competition.
